Nicola would have been 29 today had she not tragically died in 2003. Her daughter Abbey was born in 2001 and I am caring for her now. Abbey is 7rs old next month.



I miss her, and wish she could be here to see Abbey grow up. I was looking at photos on Facebook groups for Leasowes and Walton schools that Nicola attended and recognised some friends. I might just join the groups to add some myself.

A tip to help you gain real Friends

If you are a likeable person, you are more likely to succeed in business. How you treat people tells a person a lot about you. When talking with people, make sure you LISTEN to them. Take a genuine interest in them as a person and do not think of them as just another prospect for your business.

I posted this on my group board last night. Some of these tips are simple and basic, but they are important if you want to make it in business. It is surprising how many people do not follow these simple rules.....

Positive thinking is the first attitude for anyone wanting to succeed in business. Believe that you can do it and you are 75% of reaching your goals. You are what you think, so no negative thoughts or you are bound to fail. Believe in yourself, say you will be where you want to be, and you will find the way to do it.

Speaking in Tongues

I am a Born Again Christian and although this has nothing to do with my business, I just felt I had to share it with anyone who was interested. I am posting it on all my blogs.

Last week at cell group the topic ended on speaking in tongues. I am the only one who had not spoken in tongues so I was given a few pointers on how to do this. I know God has given the gift to all his children but I have close rapor with God I did not worry that I couldn't. I had tried a few times since I became Born Again but did not worry that it never happened.

For the past week I have been praying hard, trying hard and reading a lot of scriptures particularly Acts chapter 1. I led the cell group this week and we are doing a session on The Holy Spirit and this weeks topic was Works of the Holy Spirit. While going through Bible scriptures to lead this, I thought it was very appropriate that I should get this topic to lead. God spoke to me at church on Sunday and said everyone should pray in faith, ask and you shall receive. and the final topic was speaking in tongues and if anyone wanted to be prayed for on the subject to go forward. Well I did, but still came away not able to speak in tongues.

At our cell group meeting on Tuesday, I was given the advice to stop thinking about speaking in tongues and to concentrate on praising God.

Alleluiah! I was on my way to work this morning, singing and praising God to the accompaniment of cd's when I starting speaking in tongues! Glory be to God. Ask and you shall receive.
I am so pleased I am like a school kid going on holiday. Now, I feel I can get closer to God when I take my son to a Healing Service at our Church on the 18th May. It is very encouraging and makes me say, "When" my son gets healed, not "If"......

I would never have thought of building my business this way but it so obvious now it has been pointed out.
